About Us

Yalçın Legal was established by Dr Onur Yalçın in 2016. Dr Onur Yalçın who has been actively practicing law since 2002 is specialised in dispute resolution and his practice mainly focuses on law of contracts, intellectual property, corporate legal advice, debt recovery, compliance investigations and white-collar crimes and restructuring.

Dr Onur Yalçın was graduated from Saint Benoit French High School and Istanbul University School of Law. He obtained his master’s degree on private law from Galatasaray University. He earned his PhD degree at the same University on the Enforcement of the Industrial Property Rights.

Dr Yalçın has served as associate and partner in dispute resolution practices of leading law firms in Turkey for many years. He provided legal assistance to well-known companies operating worldwide, banks and financial institutions, subsidiaries and affiliates of foreign legal entities doing business in Turkey, and he represented his clients in various complex and cross border commercial disputes of large amount. He is specialised and particularly interested in violation of commercial contracts, recognition and enforcement of foreign court rulings and arbitral awards, contract drafting and negotiating, commercial litigation arising from investment and shareholders disputes.

Dr Yalçın is the author of “The Validity of Standard Terms and Conditions in Loan Agreements”, his master thesis published in 2006 and “The Enforcement of the Industrial Property Rights”, his PhD thesis published in 2021.

He is a member of Istanbul Bar Association, Istanbul University School of Law Alumni Association and Saint Benoit French High School Alumni Association. He is also a trademark attorney registered with the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.

Dr Yalçın has excellent command of English and French.
